Experience
Product Engineer (Mechanical)
TRW Automotive, Farmington Hills, Michigan (2004 – 2008)
- Developed work with assembling modules, testing and analysis, integration into different vehicles, data collection, and Instron testing.
- Validated product testing of vision based Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) from concept to final product validation.
- Possess an understanding of Injection molding, Thixomolding, SLA parts, FDM parts.
- Performed geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) stacks and analysis of the LDWS parts.
- Supported part analysis including FEA of air-flow, heat dissipation, thermal analysis, and part contamination analysis.
- Designed and reviewed parts, assembly drawings, and fixtures utilizing Unigraphics/NX3, and hand sketch drawings).
- Knowledge of thermal materials, and VHB tapes.
- Experience with lens filters, speed of the lens, and AR coatings.
- International Experience: Resolved LDW ECU’s assembling complexity at the UK manufacturing plant. Resolved client issues with the integration difficulties of the windscreen bracket to the windscreen at Fiat manufacturing plant in Saint Gobain, Italy.
Co-op (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Performed testing and programming of ECUs, analyzed data, constructed reports, presentation, and solder wire harnesses.
- Performed FMVSS 208, Lateral Load, Bungee Sled, temperature, and moment tests of weight based occupant classification sensing system (OCSS).
- Designed lens mount component, built prototype ECU’s for customers, data collection of vision based OCSS, back-up application, and LDW system.
- Collaborated in data collection, and testing for Ecotemp/LogiXense System, a pattern base occupant classification system (comparable to weight sensing system).
